Duo band Yagi PA144-432-36-6BG

My antenna from Antennas-Amplifiers finally arrived earlier this week.

It is a combined 2m/70cm dual band Yagi with a single feed point.
I don't have much room in my tower so I think this might bee a good compromise.

There was no assembly manual in the package, but all elements and boom parts
were clearly marked with numbers so it was not needed.
It took me less than an hour to mount all the 11+25 elements and the boom.

Saving the Kenwood TR-751/TR-851 transceiver from the electronic scrap yard

Project Link: Saving the Kenwood TR-751/TR-851

Many owners of the Kenwood TR-751/TR-851 have experienced the problem with the low quality
potentiometers for the Vol/Sql and RIT/RF-gain.
The even bigger problem is finding a replacement, especially in Europe.

If you klick on the link above you will find a description of how I solved the problem by using standard
10k potentiometers and a small peace of experimental board.

144MHz 10 Element longyagi

Project Link: 2x144MHz Vertically stacked 10El Yagis

There was a need to update the 2m antenna on our local club station.
We decided to replace the 10 element gamma fed 144MHz Yagi, with two vertically stacked
10 element Yagis.

The idea was to build one of G0KSC's OWL designs, but unfortunately the aluminium material I
had at home did not match any of his simulations.
So instead I had to make a new simulation using his 10 element OWL design as a starting point.

Using MMANA-GAL, this was my final simulation result.

I am excited to start building this antenna.

2m LDMOS Amplifier

Project Link: 2m LDMOS amplifier page.

Today I completed the page describing my 2m LDMOS amplifier project.
There is still work to do but it is now a working amp, and I am quite happy with it.

Please add your thoughts and suggestion regarding this project in the comments section.

Henry 1KD-5

Project Link: Henry 1KD-5 restoration.

I am not a big fan of social media, but I thought I would like to share some projects
that I have been working on lately.
First published is the restoration of my Henry 1KD-5 amplifier.
